Final Words

Throughout this group website, we have attempted to offer an Overview about what we do and why we do it.

This site and our group is here inform the enquirer that there are three types of drinkers: The moderate drinker who will never think about coming to us.  The hard drinker, who may come to us, to find out they are not alcoholics.  And finally, there is the real alcoholic who is TOTALLY powerless over alcohol - of which this meeting, this fellowship and this Program is dedicated.

Our Group Conscience has elected to use this website to let folks in AA where we can be found and to offer guidance about our format.

Since we opened,we have had a steady footfall of regular group members and visitors who make it worthwhile for practising our Three Legacies. We are a healthy and safe AA group for alcoholics only; seeking recovery through AA's suggested recovery program, contained only in the volume called "Alcoholics Anonymous".

Our Program of Reovery is not a secret here and we are willing to help others as best we can without being egotistical or evangelical about it. We just thank Him who Has ALL Power to entrust us with this responsibility!

Certainly, we have definite common purpose: To Carry the AA Message as  defined in Tradition Five. Of course, we know and  accept that our format and/or meeting time is not convenient for some of you. We understand this.

We regularly review the format at the Group Conscience meetings, putting Group UNITY FIRST and often times seeking Prayerful Reflection in how we operate Tradition Twowhile also working Traditions Fourand Five.

Simply, we are just ex-drunks who paid a high price to get here and we are willing to pay an even higher  price to stay here, including Working With Others (C7) as it was a freely offered to us.

For some of you reading this site, you may not experience the love and the compassion we have for the alcoholic and our friends in AA who visit us regularly.

In the short time we  have been open, we do what AA has asks us to do: Stay sober and help others as best as we can. We know How It Works and Why It Works!

Complaints Against this AA Group?

Unofficially the complaints dept is closed but we suggest you take stock and look at your atttitude and mistakes rather than ours through your God as you understand or misunderstand God & Program Sponsor.  Officially, if you have been treated less than favorably while you have expected to be treated well, then see us at the meeting and we will sort it promptly or write to the South Glasgow Intergroup, who will hear your concern.

Meantime, we wish every one of our Fellowship all the very best and we thank you for visiting.

In service,

BBBS Primary Purpose Group

We recover by the steps we take, not solely by the meetings we make
